MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER
Welcome to The Axis Academy
The Axis Academy is a special school which focus’ on children with mental health difficulties, giving them a safe space to learn, where they feel secure, protected and ready to embrace their education. Though academic progress is very important, we place an extensive emphasis on personal, social and emotional development which forms the basis of all we do through the school.
We want to inspire children’s minds, get them to think outside of the box – to think that their dream is possible, help them to make it a reality and unlock every child’s potential. We aim to raise children’s aspirations, help them think for themselves, inspiring a sense of awe and wonder which will have a positive impact on their future.
I believe that children with special educational needs deserve the same opportunities in life as every other child, and their outcomes should be the same. Our ultimate aim is to prepare children to be successful adults who go on to live happy lives.
